Dr Alam joined HMR CCG’s Governing Body in 2014 as the Locality Lead for Rochdale and he is currently a Clinical Board Member, providing clinical input to planning and designing local health and social care, which he’s very passionate about.
He grew up in neighbouring Oldham and graduated from Manchester Medical School in 2001. Upon deciding to pursue a career in general practice, Dr Alam completed his training in Rochdale and has practiced as a GP in the borough since 2006. Dr Alam is a member of the Integrated Commissioning Board, the CCG Prevention Board and the Primary Care Assurance and Transformation. Dr Alam is the lead for GP training and education.
