Extract from CCG Annual Report 2020-21

Dr Bodrul Alam is a Clinical Board member on the Governing Body. Dr Alam is a voting member of the Integrated Commissioning Board, NHS HMR CCG Prevention Board, Primary Care Assurance and Transformation sub-committee and Remuneration Committee. Dr Alam Chairs the Rochdale Locality Engagement Group and is the lead for GP education and training and is a practicing GP in Rochdale. Dr Alam is also a member of RBC Strategic Place Board (formerly Health and Wellbeing Board).

Dr Alam joined HMR CCG’s Governing Body in 2014 as the Locality Lead for Rochdale and he is currently a Clinical Board Member, providing clinical input to planning and designing local health and social care, which he’s very passionate about.

He grew up in neighbouring Oldham and graduated from Manchester Medical School in 2001. Upon deciding to pursue a career in general practice, Dr Alam completed his training in Rochdale and has practiced as a GP in the borough since 2006. Dr Alam is a member of the Integrated Commissioning Board, the CCG Prevention Board and the Primary Care Assurance and Transformation. Dr Alam is the lead for GP training and education.
