What is Safeguarding?
Safeguarding means protecting children and adults from harm or abuse. Safeguarding is ‘everybody’s responsibility.
Everyone, regardless of their role, can help by being alert to possible signs of abuse and sharing concerns.
Safeguarding within HMR CCG
HMR Clinical Commissioning Group aims to commission services that promote and protect individual human rights and which effectively safeguarding against abuse, neglect, discrimination or poor treatment.
The CCG recognises that safeguarding children and adults is a shared responsibility across the health economy and the wider partnership including the third sector and will ensure appropriate arrangements are in place to co-operate with the local authority in the operation of the safeguarding boards.
The CCG recognises and supports the need for robust and proportionate information sharing arrangements between health professionals and partner agencies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and adults and in the interests of public safety.
